I saw other questions on this forum and some links, but it seems that most of them are outdated and therefore cannot help me with this.
I bought a domain - cinemahunter.com
I set up redirection to godaddy to redirect from http://cinemahunter.com to http://www.cinemahunter.com
In the Google App Engine, I clicked on the settings and then add the domain. He asked me to use Google Apps, although I did not understand the reason, I did it, gave my domain name, asked me to log in to godaddy.com, I successfully registered with the credentials, and that was good. At this stage, two steps are highlighted.
- Change how your bare domain is redirected (cinemahunter.com). I have www in the text box between http: // and .cinemahunter.com. He also said that you must change the A record on your domain for this change to take effect. I assume this is a forwarding that I configure in Godaddy. I clicked continue.
- Now he said create an A record on the DNS management page. I went to Godaddy and under A (host) I deleted the entry from IP-50.63.202.22 and created 4 entries with the following, as indicated in Google applications for Host @points, to 216.239.32.21, 216.239.34.21, 216.239.36.21, 216.239 .38.21
I recorded changes to Godaddy twice. In addition, I confirmed that under CName (Alias) www points to @.
