Parsing remote or local XML using angular and ionic frames

New to angularjs and started working on creating an application where the data will be received by xml, which is located on the server.

I have searched many times for parsing xml in angularjs using the IONIC framework. But did not receive a decision.

Could someone provide me with a tutorial or example, it would be great.

If you can switch to REST / JSON on the server, this is currently the norm for communicating with / js applications and it is much easier to handle on the client.
