Editing gzip content in mitmproxy

I am trying to edit the contents of a request in mitmproxy and pass it, but the contents of the body are gzip encoded. I see a data structure that is similar to xml, but I cannot edit and save it in gzip format. How can I solve this problem? I tried different textbooks, but none of them went into details at this level

I was not able to get this to work using mitmproxy 0.11.1, because every time I tried to edit the answer, the body would open in my text editor as the gzipped source. However, he worked in mitmproxy 0.11.3. Unfortunately, there are no release notes for releases 0.11.2 or 0.11.3.
