Old KendoUI widgets for web graphics and downloads

There is an old version of the free KendoUI website that we have been using in one of our applications since 2011, I think, and which were discontinued by the Telerik team.

This version contains widgets Grid and Upload, which are no longer available in the current version of the free KendoUI (KendoUI Core).

Will updating to the latest version mean that we need to redo the Grid and Upload using a different structure? On this site I did not find a topic on this site. Has anyone encountered this issue? Maybe someone here comes across this ...

If so, can anyone recommend a similar free structure for the Grid and Upload functions?

Yes you are right. If you upgrade to the latest version, you can no longer use Grid and Upload for free under the GPLv3 license, and you will have to redo the grid and load controls with a different structure (unfortunately).

As far as I know, you are also not allowed to use the Kendo UI kernel (Apache License, version 2.0) simultaneously with the older version of the Kendo web interface to use the missing controls / widgets, as this implies a dual license.
