Sodium-Stop-Superscript in R Markdown

I need to stop the superscript before the comma - ,or stop completely - .. When converting a file Rmdto HTML knitr, a comma is also added. Example:

example.Rmd

MyTitle
========================================================
J.Smith^1, K.John^2, H.Gone^*.

example.html

Let me know if this was asked before, I cannot find the relevant questions.

You can embed HTML tags directly in Markdown documents. To switch the "supercrypting" mode, use sup.

MyTitle
========================================================

J.Smith1, K.John2, H.Gone*.

EDIT . You can also use parentheses to precisely indicate the portion of text to be reformatted.

J.Smith^(1), K.John^(2), H.Gone^(*)

EDIT: Markdown V2

2^10
2^(10)
2^10^
2^(10)^
