Xcode ignores Texture Atlas inside subfolder

I have a case where I need to keep the folder hierarchy in my iOS application bundle that contains some texture atlases. However, unlike the case with group binding, Xcode seems to ignore any texture atlas under the directory, which is referred to as a folder, not a group. Any workaround for this?

Have you tried renaming and adding ".atlas" at the end of the folder name, again dragging it into your project and noting the next option? copy elements to des ... Create groups for anyone ... add to targets (your project is selected)
