Chrome: fake mic input for testing

Question

For testing purposes with a protractor, I need to simulate the audio input from the microphone on a computer without a microphone. With the flag "-use-fake-device-for-media-stream" Chrome can simulate a fake microphone. However, the input signal does not come from a fake microphone, so my tests do not work.

Is it possible to simulate the sound coming out of the microphone?
