Runtime Unit Files

Question

I have a storm topology working locally on a Unix host. When I run it, I noticed that it begins to populate the / tmp directory with folders with the name:

eff9e9fd-4cd6-45fd-ac4e-f6705df65485

Can anyone tell what it is, and is it possible to disable them (is there a flag that can be set in the code or configuration file)?

If I use my topology for a long time, my / tmp directory eventually reaches 100% due to the presence of these files, they can be quite large.
