Glimpse + MVC5 + Sitecore 7.2

I have an ASP.NET MVC5 website and I installed Glimpse.MVC5 using nuget. The latest version of Sitecore CMS is running on the website (7.2 rev. 140314). I have not changed the configuration of Glimpse other than adding a log.

When I go to the website homepage (after turning on Glimpse), I don’t see the HUD. The following is the last line in the Glimpse log:

2014-04-24 15: 19: 01.6043 | DEBUG | Obviously, GlimpseRuntime did not but initialize this request. This can happen if you do something specific, as mentioned in this release: https://github.com/Glimpse/Glimpse/issues/703 . In any case, Glimpse will be disabled to prevent further deterministic behavior during this request.

I looked at the link, but I do not see that this applies to my situation. There are no NullReferenceException in the log.

I tested Glimpse.MVC5 with vanilla ASP.NET MVC5 on my machine and it worked fine, so I am tempted to assume that this is something related to Sitecore.

Any ideas what might be wrong, or ideas on how to identify the problem?

The solution mentioned in this post in the Glimpse Problem Tracking Log resolved the issue.

Sitecore has its own HttpModule material, which seems to cause problems.

, Glimpse HttpModule Sitecore Web.config.
