Install SDK for Sharepoint Phone for Visual Studio 2013 Professional

I am trying to install the SP2013 Phone SDK on my desktop computer (Win 8.1, 64 bit) that works with Visual Studio 2013. VS2013 comes bundled with the SDK for Windows Phone 8, but the SDK installer for SD2 SP2013 cannot recognize it and immediately cancels the installation. Is the Sharepoint Phone SDK supposed to work on VS2013?
