Android video does not resume in webview

Question

I am using webview to display local html content containing video on Android 4.2 and 4.3.

And call the " webview.onPause()" method to prevent the video from playing when activity is not visible.

When an action comes to the forefront, the video does not resume after calling the " webview.onResume()" method .

How to resume a video after activity comes to the fore?
