How to implement SlopeOne recommendation in Mahout 0.9?

Question

I am new to Mahout and trying to work through "Mahout in Action" which uses release 0.5. One of the earliest examples requires the use of a single recommender slope. Is this recommender still included in Mahout 0.9? I looked through the documentation and I could not find it. Did he change names?

Mahout 0.9 does not have SlopeOneRecommender. It was removed in an earlier version of Mahout.

SlopeOne recommendation was removed from Mahout 0.8 and later MAHOUT-1250

If you want to use it, use an earlier version such as Mahout 0.7.
