How can ellipsis text in BB 10 Cascades?

I am developing a BlackBerry 10 mobile application using the Momentics IDE (native SDK).

I have a fixed width shortcut. If the text does not fit into this label, I want it to be an ellipsis (an ellipse of text with a conditional "..." at the end) instead of a fading effect (just "ghosts" into oblivion), as Cascade Designers decided to be in such a case shown in the image below.

Can someone help me with this?
