Docker Error in PULL - Error loading dependent layers

I get the following error when pulling an image

docker pull ubuntu

How fast is your internet connection? I got the same error and believe that it is due to a timeout due to the slow internet. Several attempts were made ...

Try running it as root. I get the same error when running this command as a user without privileges. When I ran it as root, it worked fine.

sudo docker pull ubuntu
