Determining the current version for HLS HTML streams

I have an HTML5 element <video>that the source is .m3u8( HLS stream )

I have M3U8 with three different versions: 640x360, 960x540and1280x720

On desktop computers, I have Flash Player for playing videos, so HTML5 backup is only for mobile devices (iOS and Android). I do all my tests on the iPad and, after its work, I will try. on Android and I hope that everything will work the same way.

My goal is to find out at any time what kind of video element is playing. The change may change as the user bandwidth changes.

I tried to use the property .videoHeight, but it always returns 480 regardless of the loaded playback - which is especially strange because 480 is not even an option.

Does anyone know how I can understand how execution loads?
