I want to make a vector seamless tiel for use in Inkscape to apply to objects. I have no problem making seamless tiles for export as bitmap or png, and they work well in GIMP, but when I follow the guide for creating seamless vector tiles, aa: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL /html/TilePattern.html I get the seams between the plates. I also use color bg, which can be part of the problem, since the examples in the link above run with white bg (the same color as the seams).
But it’s funny that I have some seamless patterns that I made a year ago, available to me in inkscape, a transparent background, but then you can apply it to a transparent object and put it on top of the object to which I want to apply the template. But for life, I can’t remember how I did it. This would be the best, most universal solution, if someone had a link to another user who would like to make such templates and save them in inkscape for use with inkscape. I would appreciate reading it.

EDIT:
This link turned out to be very helpful in achieving what I wanted: http://www.verysimpledesigns.com/vectors/inkscape-tutorial-seamless-patterns.html . It bypasses the entire inkscape template selector in the fill and shade window, and you can create any vector template you want and then clip it to another object. Ideal and useful for future reuse.
