I try to sign my application in VS2012, but I get the message "I can not find the certificate and private key for decryption."
What am I doing:
- I got a certificate from Comodo CA Limited on Google Chrome.
- Export the certificate to a file with the "Include all certificates" and "Private key export" options.
- In VS2012, the Signing tab, I look at the certificate file and fill in the password. The message "Cannot find ..." appears.
I also tried all the steps in this tutorial: Visual Studio Error "Could not be found ... in the Comodo Knowledge Base, but failed.
The same key works great when signing with the Comodo kSign tool, as well as when using the signtool.exe function
....
The most common problem occurs when using a .pfx file that contains chains of information. You can remove the information about the chain from the key file by running the Certificate Manager snap-in (Certmgr.msc), importing the pfx file into the personal certificate store, and then exporting it without including information about the certificate chain.
Importing a certificate into MMC and exporting again does not help

I tried this on another machine, but the same problem. Any ideas?
