I get this error when performing a "play clean test" for every play project on my system:

play clean test 103.37s user 3.60s system 224% cpu 47.737 total

It started unexpectedly recently after updating some packages using homebrew, although I'm not sure the reason I uninstalled homewbrew and went to use zip packages for games from their site just to get the same problem.

Other things I've tried:

  • Removing directories .sbt, .ivy, .m2 in the house
  • Removing / reinstalling scala / play / java, using cleanup platform commands, cleaning repo, etc.

TL DR The powermock.jar file we depended on was not a jar file.
