Change layout for Tree View: Toggle in Atom?

Question

I start by setting up the Atom editor and trying to change the key mapping for Tree View: Toggle.

I put this in my usercap.cson user file:

'.editor': 'ctrl-t': 'Tree View:Toggle'

But that will not work.

Looking at Settings-> Switch Keys, I see it in the list, as I expected:

ctrl-t Tree View:Toggle User .editor

What have I done wrong?

Go to:

failed to fix the problem.

Key binding resistance indicates that the command was recognized, but it did not switch the tree view. See screenshot:
