Wordpress on Openshift, very slow to respond

I just moved my Wordpress website to the OpenShift PAAS ecosystem on a scalable PHP pattern. But I immediately noticed that the website responds very slowly - about 3000/4000 milliseconds. BUT, when it starts to respond, loading / rendering the page will be absolutely fast.

to give you a comparison, this static website is hosted in the same AWS region: http://extras.gabrielebaldassarre.com/tos5-4

For this reason, I pointed out this bottleneck to the name servers that I use (from Cloudflare, due to CNAME's bare need), but with the help of an online tester, they look fine.

I would not say that my Wordpress is a vanilla config, but it’s not a mammoth, after all. And the boot time after starting the response is fine.

I am wondering if something is wrong with HAProxy or my OpenShift configuration, but I don’t know how to check or what to do.

any idea?

Openshift pauses and serializes applications without much activity after a specified period, and the first time they wake up, they are deserialized, and this takes time.
