Is there still room for simple listings?

I started using strongly typed enums. Looking through my current project, there are a few places that I still prefer simple listings.

If a strongly typed characterization is not needed, and an enumeration is used to implicitly convert it to int, are there any other trade-offs that would make ordinary enums a bad choice?
