Manage access on iPad using mobile device management

Question

I am stuck with this problem for two days.

I need to make a small application iPadthat sends the iPad to when the user starts kiosk mode/guided mode. I have to use MDMfor this (I use Merakifor MDM https://meraki.cisco.com/products/systems-manager ).

However, I cannot collect small pieces of information to make one complete decision.

I know the following things:

• I need to make my device " Supervised", which I already made using Apple Configurator. But since then, when I connect the device to my mac, it XCodedoes not show it as a parameter on which I can run the iOS application. Now it just shows installed iOS simulators. I do not know why this happened .. !!

  • I created .mobileconfigusing Meraki, and it is successfully installed on mine. iPad.However, when I try to modify the created file .mobileconfigto enter a few more payloads, mine iPadrefuses to install it, saying that " The profile cannot be installed due to an unknown error". There is no need to install the file created by Meraki .mobileconfigas is, because I have to include App Lock payloadit in order to provide also controlled access. However, this payload parameter is not available when I use meraki. Therefore, in any case, I need to modify the available mobileconfig Meraki file.

  • In case I create my own file .mobileconfigand include the required one payloads, how to place it on MDM so that it can install the configuration file on the device if necessary
