SAS log output to the log window and text file

I am using SAS 9.3. By default, the log output is displayed in the log window. Instead, you can send the log to a file using:

proc printto
  log="C:\archive\mylog.log" new;
run;

... But does anyone know how to have BOTH? Ie, the journal prints in a log window in SAS, and also writes to a text file? Basically, a tee for SAS?

Thank!

I have seen this question before on other sites, and I believe that the answer is basically "no" with a list of workarounds and one system option.

On a Unix / Linux environment, you can print the file, but the tail of this file is to get a log with constant updates.

Windows - Textpad, UltraEdit Notepad ++, ( , ).

-; printto , ( , .) , SAS v6 , , .

, , , - altlog. , , , , . ALTLOG . . .
