What is the Reflection class for?

Question

I'm familiar with the concept of reflection (underline for those who does not see the issue), and I know that ReflectionClass, ReflectionMethod, ReflectionObjectand etc. do.

But, looking at the PHP documentation, I came across a Reflection class that has no additional documentation than:

Reflection class.

This class has no constructor, has no known subclasses, and is real.

What is his purpose?

It seems that this class exists specifically for its method export()without implementing an interface Reflector.
