Where can I get the fmt binary for MSYS / MinGW?

I am using virtualenvwrapper with Git Bash (msysGit).

This basically works fine, but the lsvirtualenv command relies on the unix fmt command , which is currently not in my path.

I would like to add only fmt.exe to my Git Bash bin , if possible, in the interests of a minimal installation.

Throughout my life I can’t find standalone fmt - it looks like it was part of MSYS coreutils, but now it is no longer present.

Please, can someone give me some guidance on how to proceed?

Thanks for the help.

In the end, one of the MinGW users on his mailing list (Eli Zaretskii) pointed me in the right direction.

fmt.exe now lives here in Sourceforge:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/MSYS/Base/coreutils/coreutils-5.97-3/coreutils-5.97-3-msys-1.0.13-ext.tar.lzma/download

He needs two DLLs (libintl and libiconv), which are also copied to the git bash bin directory. They live here at Sourceforge:

libintl

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/MSYS/Base/gettext/gettext-0.18.1.1-1/libintl-0.18.1.1-1-msys-1.0.17-dll-8.tar.lzma/ download

libiconv

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/MSYS/Base/libiconv/libiconv-1.14-1/libiconv-1.14-1-msys-1.0.17-dll-2.tar.lzma/download

fmt.exe, git bash, lsvirtualenv ... , virtualenvwrapper !
