Using virtualenvwrapper-win in msysgit (sh.exe ": mkvirtualenv: command not found), works in normal cmd

I am having trouble setting mine virtualenvto work correctly in windows.

I use the latest console (1.9) msysgitto do the usual work and installation virtualenv, virtualenvwrapperand virtualenvwrapper-winthrough pip. It works correctly in regular cmd, but msysgit just displays

sh.exe": mkvirtualenv: command not found

I can use the usual virtualenv, but it is bulky and additionally ignores my given variables% WORKON_HOME% and% PROJECT_HOME% to split my folder envsand projects. Both work in cmd.exe.

Any idea?

The problem is that msysgit is not a complete installation of MSYS. It contains only what is needed for git to work. You have several options: (1) Install a complete, real MSYS / MINGW32 environment (it is not recommended why two copies are installed) or (2) install the missing pieces.

Depending on which version of msysgit you installed, the missing parts seem different, but at least you need to download a copy mktemp.exe. Some users also reported thatfmt.exe

"MSYSTEM" "MINGW32" ( virtualenvwrapper , unix - : Scripts bin ). "MSYS_HOME" , msysgit (, export MSYS_HOME = /c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Git .bashrc). , msysgit ( ).
