On the last day, I tried to shut down the view controller, which accesses the contacts in the user's address book. I subscribe to various applications and look through their registration flows, where they ask you to access your address book.
There are two ways these applications handle address book access:
The application wants to access contacts, so they show a UIAlertView window that says something like this: "We need to access your address book. You can enable this by choosing" Settings ">" Privacy ">" Contacts ">" Enable " App name.
The app wants to access contacts, so they show a UIAlertView window that says something like this: "We need to access your contacts so we can find your friends"
The difference between option 2 is that in the UIAlertView window they actually have two buttons for "Do not allow" and "OK."
I got the impression that if you actually click "OK", this will allow you to access your contacts, and if you click "Do not allow", this will block the application’s access to your contacts.
However, even if I click OK in these applications, it does not even change the privacy settings. Pressing the "Do not allow" button also does not change anything.
