Summary of the issue: . In what scenarios do the DOM elements that can be found in the chrome developer element view not appear on the source page of the browse page and vice versa? Are there any other pitfalls I should know about?
More details
I followed the introduction of the nodejs cheerio module, and I analyzed this page to find ways to identify the basic elements of the image.
I noticed the following pattern under the Chrome developer tools:
div class="artSplitter"
div class="image-wrap style="cursor: pointer;"
img src="whatever.jpg" class="blkBorder"
The wrap div element is missing from the page source, but appears on the toolbar of the Chrome Developer Tools!
To quickly check this, I look at this image in particular. Just CF to him in the source: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/03/22/article-2297585-18DB1B03000005DC-745_634x421.jpg
I really appreciate it. Many thanks.
