Rails Preconfigured Virtual Machine

All,

Does anyone know of a pre-configured Linux-based virtual machine that I can use as my Ruby on Rails development environment? My laptop is running Windows 8.1, which is not an ideal platform for developing Rails and is not used by professional Rails developers.

What I'm specifically looking for is a ready-made image of Ubuntu VM, which I can download and run inside VMWare Player for Windows. The image will already have Ruby and Rails installed and it will be pre-configured using some common gems such as RSpec and Capybara. This way, I do not need to install Ubuntu and all my development tools from scratch.

I have already tried the virtual machine image, which is used in the UC Berkeley Rails-based online software development course (BerkeleyX CS-169.1x), which can be found at:

https://courses.edx.org/courses/BerkeleyX/CS-169.1x/2013_Summer/wiki/CS169.1x/illustrated-vm-install/ .

Unfortunately, this image uses Oracle VirtualBox, which does not do very well with my Windows installation and does not screw my power settings and sleep mode well.

Just to clarify, I'm not looking for a virtual machine to host and deploy Rails applications in applications (like Amazon AWS / Cloud Services). I'm just looking for a development virtual machine with access to the Linux terminal and the Rails command line.
