Made a catastrophic mistake with "create git repo here". How to fix / cancel?

I am new to Git. I created an account on bitbucket and downloaded TortoiseGit.

I am in Windows 7 and on the desktop I right-clicked and thought that “add git repo here” would create an empty folder that could be fixed, but it turns out she * put * every folder on the desktop to be to execute the command instead.

How do I cancel this? Please, help!

Be sure to turn it Show hidden fileson in Explorer. Then delete the directory .giton the desktop

git reset --hard, . .git.

Win + R cmd .

cd Desktop
rmdir /S .git

git reset HEAD *

With TortoiseGit 1.8.7.1, a warning message will be added when creating a repository in special folders, such as the desktop, root of the root folder, UNC root directory, user profile, Windows directory, system32, program files

The menu item Create Repository can be clicked by mistake.
