Android emulator does not start

I am trying to start Android Virtual Device from Android Virtual Device Manager. The Android Emulator window opens, but the screen remains on the Android logo and does not advance further.

It worked fine until it started a second avd. Now the first avd and the second avd will not start. A rebooted Windows computer, but does not seem to have an effect.

Make a copy and delete the folder .androidin your documents. Then start again.

DDMS -> devices -> restart adb

Try it like this ... It worked for me. Your Android emulator’s settings use the value of the VM double heap. If the current value is 32, make it 64, and then run your emulator.
