This simplifies my situation, but underscores my dilemma - sometimes my users cannot access their session variables (long before the session timeout). My configuration is as follows:
- .NET Framework 3.5 Application
- Session state is processed by StateServer (executed locally on the web server)
- The StateServer service running on the web server is the .NET Framework 4.0
- There is only one web server; this is not a farm or garden state.
