What happens with a multiple purchase - buying a subscription without updating in the application

I am implementing a sample that includes an in-app purchase feature. Subscription is a type of non-renewal.

In the case of an automatic renewal subscription, if the user made a purchase and during the validity period, if the user tries to make a purchase again, iTunes displays a warning that

You are already subscribed to purchase

and will not go on. The user can restore their subscription using the application recovery function.

But in the case of the type of non-renewal subscription, if the user made a purchase, and during the validity period, if the user repeats the attempt to make a purchase, iTunes displays a confirmation message that

You have already purchased a subscription, to renew or expand your subscription click buy or click cancel

and if the user clicks on the purchase, he continues.

So, my doubt is what exactly happens in the latter case (re-subscription to renewal).

Is the user charged again?

What happens to a user’s subscription validity?

Is it possible to process and control it inside the code?

If so, any idea to continue working would be highly appreciated and would be very useful to me.

Thanks at Advance.

It is worth paying attention to the fact that the user does not receive an additional fee in any case, if he has already subscribed. And for this, I use iCloud to support recovery features across multiple user devices.
