Any problems with reselling a self-service SSL certificate WHM?

Yesterday I received several emails warning that some of my assigned WHM SSL certificates will expire. I did not install WHM initially, but according to their documentation, self-configuring certificates are usually created during the installation of WHM.

Services that need a new certificate:

cPanel / WHM / Webmail Service Exim Server (SMTP) Dovecot Mail Server FTP Server

  • All in one domain (which is our primary domain that we use to access whm).

All current services have self-configuring certificates. I do not know how to have self-configuring certificates if they still generate browser errors.

So, I have 2 questions:

  • Are there any problems with resetting current certificates?

  • Do I have to have a certificate at all? Our main domain (which has all these certificates) does not use SSL.

I am afraid that I do not have WHM experience, but I have experience with ssl certificates, so hopefully this will be useful anyway.

  • If there are already existing customers who use the services via SSL, they will already accept existing self-signed certificates so that they can accept new ones. Whether this will be automatic will probably depend on the client.

  • , ssl. -? , , , Exim SMTP , , IMAP? , ssl ( ).
