Eclipse - link file with editor without extension

Question

I am writing a JavaScript application and customizing very convenient code styles (I like old school styles), so I feel comfortable while working.

My js files should be named as follows: file_namejs → without a point.

• Is it possible to link a file with a missing extension to an editor in eclipse?

• If not, can you recommend another tool that allows you to perform highly customizable code formatting?
