No identifiers from profile "..." (happened after I upgraded to xcode 5)

Question

I hit this strange problem that a profile that worked and does not expire now tells me that "There are no identifiers from the profile ..." and xcode tells me that it can fix this problem by uploading a new profile. But this did NOT fix the problem, and in fact, I found that xcode also did not load the profile.

I tried to download a certificate from this profile from developers.apple.com and reinstall it. But xcode still complained "no identifiers."

I allow xcode to update the profile from the account tab, also did not work. I even deleted this profile from developer.apple.com and allowed the xcode profile to be updated, but still nothing helped.

I checked the keychain and confirmed that the certificate is in "My certificates" (I had no doubt that it actually worked, so it should be there, right?)

So basically I run out, any suggestions?

By the way, I remembered that this happened when I upgraded to xcode 5 and added a new development device (not necessary, of course)
