Android / Phonegap: kill webview on background transition instead of keepRunning = false

Question

My PhoneGap application is 60-80 MB, and I want to free up as much memory as possible when going to the background. My app has a PhoneGap web browser and a tiny service.

WebView is used to manage the service, which is very important. I want to unload as much as possible in order to save users of battery, memory, etc. Also, fatty applications are destroyed first.

I do not want to start the service as a separate process.
