I am looking for an embedded IPC framework because I want to achieve the following parallelism:

• I want to analyze numerous sources of live data
• I plan to use a new process for each data source for polling for updates
• This allows you to update each data source asynchronously in its own polling interval and without blocking updates for other data sources (it is important if a particular server is very slow)
• I need an IPC infrastructure, so I can get updates from every process that polls in the process in which I do the analysis
• R Windows ≥ XP , MPI IPC
