Design a gem: what's the difference between config.remember_for and config.timeout_in?

Ideally, I would like to automatically remember my users after logging in and keep them on the system for several weeks before asking for credentials again. Should I install config.remember_for = 3.weeksor config.timeout_in = 3.weeks?

These are two separate objects (even two separate modules in Devise).

First ( remember_for), you should remember the user for a certain amount of time (usually days or months) so that he can enter the application without leaving the login procedure each time.
