Firebug doesn't stop at exceptions or debugger statements

I don’t remember the last time I worked Firebug, but now I have an urgent need. I am trying to catch some misleading JavaScript errors using console debugging and debugger;.

On the one hand, both Chrome and IE very easily dwell on any JavaScript error - either inside try / catch or not. With Firebug, in any unusual circumstances, it just prints an error on the console and continues to work. The pause icon on the Console tab is already on (checked in both states).

In addition, the operator debugger;does nothing - Firebug completely ignores it under any circumstances.

I can add breakpoints to the code files, although this does not help my situation. At the moment, even IE10 debugging tools are much more useful to me. I tried reinstalling Firebug, resetting the settings, and even reverting to Firebug version 1.11.1. Anyone have any suggestions?
