Domain host entries for github and namecheap

I have my own domain with namecheap, which I want to redirect to my github page, which is located in myuser.imtqy.com.

My host entries on namecheap have entries "@" and "www" A with IP address 192.30.252.153. In the root of my github page (in the repo), I have a cname entry with mydomain.com. in file. When I browse my own domain in a web browser, I get a message stating that the github page cannot be found.

Ideas? I found several blog posts about the installation, but none of the options worked for me.

To support enhanced Github pages, set your posts as follows:

HOST NAME IP ADDRESS RECORD TYPE TTL
@ 192.30.252.153 A (Address) 1800
www <username>.imtqy.com CNAME (Alias) 1800

SUB-DOMAIN SETTINGS:

HOST NAME IP ADDRESS RECORD TYPE TTL
@ 192.30.252.154 A (Address) 1800

What worked for me was the following ...

IP Host Name Record Type TTL

@ 204.232.175.78 A (Address) 1800

www 204.232.175.78 A (Address) 1800
