Drop-down frame inside text box / text box

Question

I am looking for something like a friends filter on facebook. When you type “@” inside the text area, it shows a list of friends to choose from. I tried to find the drop-down list inside the text box, but could not find what I was looking for.

After playing with all these parameters, I have to say that at.js is the best option. Both the podio library and mentions.js library mentioned in the selected answer are hardly supported anymore and are full of problems. At.js has over 4,000 stars on github, is actively developing and is simply the best software.
