Go To Definition grayed out in VS2013

I just installed Visual Studio 2013 on 2 machines. When I open the same project on both machines and open the same code, if I am right-clicking on a method call, “Go To Definition” is highlighted on one machine and not the other. This is for any method call in the referenced assembly. The methods in the current code work fine. The machine on which it does not work is a clean assembly.

Have I really missed the installation of something?

Same problem. I just right-clicked the project and executed the Unload project. Reboot it and Go To Definition works again.

I came across this once. The steps that I followed, after which it began to work for me:

  • Right-click on the solution and run the “Clean Solution”.
  • Right-click on Solution and run "Rebuild Solution".

vs 2012 vs 2013. vs .2012 2013 , .

I solved this by creating a new project in vs .net 2013 and adding all the objects back to the solutions. Now it works without any problems.
