Invalid 'mutex' command

Question

H, I am using Ubuntu 13.04 and apache2. When I did sudo apt-get install libapache2-svn to install subversion, the Apache server no longer wants to start. Here is the error message:

Syntax error on line 74 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf:
Invalid command 'Mutex', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
Action 'configtest' failed.  

How can i fix this?

libapache2-svn is already installed.

In apache2.conf file replace

LockFile ${APACHE_LOCK_DIR}/accept.lock

or

LockFile /var/lock/apache2/accept.lock

with the following

Mutex file:${APACHE_LOCK_DIR} default

That should work.
