Excel VBA module routine not matched with parameter

In a new Excel spreadsheet, I inserted a new module and entered a public item. When I try to test, the sub does not appear in the macro list unless I delete the parameter.

This behavior is bizarre, and I cannot find a link to it as a problem, everything I read declares that routines (or functions that also tried) can have parameters.

Public Sub RetrieveSIR() <-- Can be found
Public Sub RetrieveSIR( SIRNumber as Integer) <-- Cannot be found

It pushes me to turn, trying to cope with it. If anyone can help, he will be very grateful.
