Invert string in Java

I have "Hello World"stored in a string variable with a name hi.

I need to print it, but cancel it.

How can i do this? I understand that there is some kind of function already built into Java that does this.

You can use this:

new StringBuilder(hi).reverse().toString()

Or for versions earlier than JDK 1.5, use java.util.StringBufferinstead StringBuilder- they have the same API. Thanks to the commentators for pointing out which StringBuilderis currently preferred when there is no concurrency issue.
