I have a program using IFileDialog (standard Windows dialog box) to open files. And on some computers, everything works as expected, but in other cases, the "Open" button has an arrow with a drop-down menu that adds a second option to "show previous versions."
A little research shows that this is an OS thing related to system recovery , and you can turn it off by completely disabling system recovery. But it will be using global state to manage the local problem. Is there a way to just customize the dialog so that the drop-down menu is not displayed?
