Can I accept Bitcoin tips or donations in my free Android apps and widgets?

Is it officially authorized (or allowed, at least) by Google to do this?

I have some users suggesting that it might be a good idea to add a “donate” button with one click, by opening my default Android Bitcoin app, with my pre-configured Bitcoin address. But hey, I don’t want my applications to be suspended just because of this!

Have you seen apps or widgets that do this yet on Google Play?

You can ask the same question about Paypal donations, I think ...

I don’t know what the official Google policy is for sure, but donating should not be a problem. In theory.

So, until donors buy / receive nothing, even a thankful or honorable mention, and this is clearly visible in your application, you are safe in theory. For example, disabling ads for donors is simply a violation of these conditions.

However, Google’s rules are interpreted and applied. And sentences like
