Is there a schema.org type for teasers on a blog?

The teasers on the first page of the blog are probably not targets for adding itemtype="http://schema.org/BlogPosting" , because each of them is not a full blog posting and represents only one or two paragraphs with the link "Continue reading".

But since they are part of the blog, is there microdata for them related to blogs or not?

A person is still a person, even if you do not provide a name. A place is still a place, even if you did not provide an address. A blog post still publishes a blog, even if you do not provide full content.

Therefore, using BlogPosting for a teaser is excellent. If you are not displaying the full content, simply omit the articleBody property.
