Windows Azure VM cannot access microsoft.com

I have 2 VMs on Windows Azure connected to a virtual network, including a DNS component connected to a virtual network.

The first machine is an AD controller (with DNS), and DNS from a virtual network (in Azure) is pointed to this device (10.0.0.4).

2 vm can talk to each other, and the second VM is also a domain connected to the AD controller on the first computer.

The problem is that on both virtual machines I can’t access / or view everything related to microsoft.com (for example, visualstudio.com, etc.). All other sites (even bing.com) work without problems.

What could be the reason. I need to change some DNS settings on my first virtual machine so that microsoft.com is "excluded" or something like that. What do I think is Microsoft's "internal" traffic?

Thanks!

Solved! You need to add the Google DNS server to the list of DNS servers on the management portal and associate it with your virtual network.

To do this, add one or both of the Google DNS IP addresses (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4) to the list of DNS servers associated with the Azure virtual network. On the Azure management portal, go to "Virtual Networks> [Your Virtual Network]> DNS Servers", then add the addresses to the list and click "Save."
